Apparently many people find dealing with accounting people can be uneasy. You may not understand why you are supposed to fill out a form, wait for checking, get approval and so on. There must be some reasons behind those requirements - some may not be valid in today”’’s business.

If you are an accountant, you may be instructed to carry out your work without good explanation. Or you may see your boss make some unbelievable adjustment entry without clear explanation or justification. There is a flaw in today”’’s accepted accounting practice that needs to be changed.

As a user of the financial statements, you cannot detect easily what is wrong behind the large numbers on the balance sheet or the profit and loss statement. You have been told that the notes to financial statements are important, but it is not easy for you to understand the risk and exposure hidden.

It is important for you to understand the rules and know how to apply them to your benefits. Any complicated problems may be resolved using the right accounting principles. Unfortunately, in many cases, people just look at the problem from operational aspect. But when it comes to the discussion with accounting people, there may be a way to alleviate the situation - especially when the problem is related to tax issues.
